This charming wooden house, designed by Design Blitz, was originally built in 1942 and serves as a summer home in West Sebastopol, California. Originally used as a vacation home, it was renovated and repurposed as a family residence. Inspired by the surrounding forested landscape, this natural-looking building stands out with its timber wood exterior. The house features a front deck and an extended gable roof that serves as a garage roof on the side.

North Sea Wood House

This house uses a frame made of Siberian larch wood and has western red cedar cladding for its walls. Located on Terschelling Island, hidden near the North Sea, it was designed by Achterbosch Zantman. The design pays special attention to large glass elements on the walls to optimize views of sand dunes, the sea, and the sky. This unique-shaped house has a basement partially buried in the sand dunes, yet it remains bright and open inside. The basement area includes three bedrooms, storage space, and a bathroom. On the ground floor, there's a central gathering area and the master bedroom. Additionally, the house includes a reading room with beautiful views.

Laminated Pinewood House

Jaak Kangro of Nordicasa Design & Construction designed this all-wooden timber house located in the Valdelineares Ski Resort in Spain. The house is entirely clad in pine wood, inside and out, creating a rustic and warm ambiance throughout. Modern touches are seen in the use of large glass windows at the front. At the back of the house, there's a symmetrical layout with glass walls that open to the outdoors. The open layout on the ground floor is conducive to gathering and socializing.

Single-Family House

Owned by a young couple with a small child, this three-story house has different functions on each level. The top floor serves as a private area with bedrooms. The middle floor connects to an open family area, living room, and kitchen. The bottom floor houses an office and showroom. An overhang provides shade for the children's play area. Wood was chosen as the structural material for its speed and cleanliness during construction and its environmentally friendly qualities. Large windows on the north and south sides offer beautiful views, while the west and east sides have fewer openings.

Open Cabin House

Located in Berrocal, Segovia, Spain, this house was built by Pablow Campoverde and designed by Josemaria and Cayetana of CH+QS Architect in collaboration with Nathanael Lopez. The dominant color inside the house is yellow, complementing the wood materials used. This color is suitable for all seasons and harmonizes with the green landscape.

Apelle House

This Finnish house features Scandinavian design with a shape resembling a ship, incorporating local materials, design, and culture. The Apelle House, designed by architect Marco Casagrande, draws inspiration from maritime lifestyles, both literally and in its details.
