A Classic Library for Your Home
Reading is one of the most beneficial activities that can be used to learn many things or to pass the time. To fully enjoy it, we need a special room that is designed as attractively and comfortably as possible. Therefore, when creating a library in our home, we need to pay attention to the concept (including color selection), size, and the furniture that will be used.
Velvet Texture

A dream of designer Mellisa Rufty about a library concept that gives a warm impression has brought this library to life. The use of velvet and faux fur fabric for designing a library wall in Mink Benjamin Moore is used to reinforce the desired warm impression. Adding a coffee table painted with a special effect to mimic faux horn, along with it, enhances the warm and fascinating atmosphere of this library.
Burgundy-Colored Walls

Mary McDonald designed this library with the idea of using dark red, which is why she applied it to the luxurious library in a Beverly Hills home. She designed it starting from the windows by covering them with bamboo by Augusta Wood to create an artistic background for photos. The walls were designed by Benjamin Moore’s Classic Burgundy, along with a classic table from Vaughan, equipped with a lamp and a zebra-patterned Stark carpet.
Jewelry Box Concept

The "jewelry box" design is inspired by limited space, so a multifunctional jewelry box-like design was created. Designer Jeanette Whitson applied this library design to her own home in Nashville. The choice of dark-colored paint on the walls and bookshelves, along with the ceiling covered with fabric wallpaper by Michael S. Smith from India, gives the impression that this library looks spacious and comfortable. Adding a sofa in matching colors makes you want to spend more time reading books in this room.
Traditional Yet Fresh

A library located in designer Garrow Kedigian's apartment showcases a fresh light on Kedigian's classic collections, both from his literary collections and decorative aspects. He wanted to have a library before the idea of it disappeared, but the library had to be contemporary and fun. One solution he found was to use lively colors in his library. You can also go for luxury condo in Singapore to grab a traditional library at home.
Wooden Design

In a 16th-century French countryside, William Christie accidentally found an empty space, which he then transformed into a library. He furnished his library with a mahogany rack from Cuba, which he obtained from a library in the city of Nantes. Then, his carpenter found more mahogany wood, which was eventually used to create the lattice ceiling. In addition, classical statues inspired by Lorenzani's works in Paris were added to beautify the bookshelves.
Underwater Concept

The library designed by Gene Meyer and Frank de Biasi, located in a house in Miami, aims to showcase an underwater concept by featuring seahorse motifs throughout the room, including antique rattan material lamps. The choice of pink paint on the walls and white color on the bookshelves, along with seashell decorations surrounding them, strengthens the underwater effect they wanted to create.
Are you interested in creating a library in your home? It's very easy, isn't it? With an attractive home library, you'll be more inclined to spend time in it. It can even make your children enjoy studying in that room.
