A holiday home in Korcula, Croatia, is the perfect choice for relaxation and leisure. Designed by SODAarhitekti, this house spans an area of 480 square meters. With two main floors, a basement, and a rooftop, this holiday home offers a delightful experience with various entertainment areas inside.

From the outside, this holiday home already exudes uniqueness. Nestled in a valley with sloping terrain, the house adapts to the minimalist aesthetic that stands out amidst the grassy surroundings. The design of the house is also tailored to local architectural principles, featuring simplicity, functionality, and a scale that suits human dimensions. The house is designed to align with a lifestyle of relaxation and vacation enjoyment. By creating a multi-level structure that harmonizes with the land, the building feels more integrated with its natural surroundings.

The lowest part of the building, which is parallel to the road, is used as the basement level. Of course, this floor is mostly concealed, with only the door area visible at the front. In this floor, residents can securely store their vehicles. Additionally, this floor serves as a service area and features a staircase leading to the next level.

The next floor is designated as the sleeping area. This floor can be accessed from inside the building or from outside. It consists of one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and two bedrooms with external bathrooms. Each room is connected by a corridor and an outdoor terrace that can be used for relaxation or sunbathing. This terrace is also protected by the structure above, which extends outward.

From the terrace, glass walls with doors have been chosen for the bedroom area. The use of glass allows more natural light to enter the bedroom and provides pleasant views in the morning. However, if privacy and protection from sunlight are desired, curtains can be a solution for the bedroom.

The rooms are designed with a simple and muted color scheme. This includes the choice of cream-colored ceramic tiles, white walls, and a wooden headboard as part of the bedroom. It's a minimalist and beautiful design for a room that's not too large in size.

The third floor of this residence is designed with a rectangular layout and features a cantilevered floor system. This area serves as a space for socializing, gathering, and carrying out various daily activities. On this floor, you'll find a gathering area, kitchen, dining room, and a toilet.

The gathering area is uniquely designed with seating made of wooden planks and seat cushions. Sofas and various comfy chairs are also available in the room with ample seating capacity. The color scheme in this room is consistent with the bedroom area, very minimalist and calming with light brown and cream tones. The glass windows in this room are also equipped with lattice curtains if you prefer a more closed-off space.

In addition to the indoor dining area, there is also an outdoor dining area. This outdoor dining area can also be used for romantic dinners under the stars. The outdoor deck is designed with stacked wooden planks to create a more natural appearance.

On the next level, there is a small mezzanine area used as a barbecue area, complete with a grill and a washing area. Its location in the corner of the room and adjacent to the higher-level swimming pool adds to the holiday atmosphere.

The rooftop area of this house is maximized for sunbathing and swimming. The wooden deck floor is perfect as it's not slippery when you come out of the pool to sunbathe. The rooftop is equipped with safety railings all around to ensure the safety of those on top. From this elevated vantage point, you can enjoy beautiful views of the beach and the hills, showcasing the refreshing natural surroundings.
