In addition to cosplay, Pinky Lu Xun has another profession: architecture. She has a degree from Tarumanagara University and claims to be a "homebody." By that, she means that she enjoys spending time at home, arranging things, and aspires to design her own home in the future.

Pinky believes that being an architecture graduate offers various career opportunities, including becoming an architect, drafter, interior designer, or even a real estate agent.

A role model in Architecture

In her architectural pursuits, Pinky has idols who inspire her work. Some of the people she has admired from her college days until now include Zaha Hadid, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Tadao Ando.

Pinky Lu Xun also finds inspiration in historical buildings, such as 18th-century structures with intricate wall carvings and ornaments by Edmund Blacket, an Australian architect. She is also fascinated by 16th-century Gothic-style buildings, such as Louis Le Vau's Palace of Versailles, which is renowned for its architectural and interior artistic value.

Jobs

After graduating, Pinky worked for a prominent Indonesian development company. She was part of the architectural team responsible for projects like Central Park Mall and Mediterania Garden Residences 2 in Jakarta. Interestingly, this beautiful cosplayer was involved in the design of well-known buildings in Jakarta.

Hobbies And Jobs

Pinky has a unique perspective on how cosplay and architecture intersect, even if not directly related to her career. She learned to make costumes through self-study, drawing from her ability to visualize appearances, patterns, and designs in buildings. Her experience in making architectural models also allowed her to apply construction knowledge when crafting cosplay armor. One of her notable creations is the costume of Isis from Rising Force Online, which involved using AutoCAD software for creating armor patterns and scaling. It's imaginative and inspiring, isn't it?

In the realm of architecture, Pinky acknowledges that video games have somewhat influenced her in designing architectural structures. While she doesn't directly replicate futuristic video game designs, she incorporates some elements into real-world designs if they are feasible in terms of budget and construction. Usually, she applies these inspirations to interior design, color selection, and lighting.

Pinky believes that architecture in Indonesia has been developing rapidly, especially in malls and apartments. Each developer strives to create unique and out-of-the-box designs or themes to attract as many visitors or tenants as possible.

Cosplayers VS Architech

Sometimes, people get confused about her dual career path and ponder about her future. However, Pinky remains resolute. When asked to choose between being an architect or a cosplayer, she states, "Of course, I would choose to be an architect because, for me, cosplay is just a hobby. If I were to make cosplay a side job, I would prefer to be a costume maker rather than a cosplayer."
