Married couple Scott and Ellie Morgan embarked on a crazy project and, of course, succeeded. With a budget of £1000 or approximately Rp 15,900,000, they transformed a van into a habitable space. Through six weeks of hard work day and night, the van with its 80s interior turned into a comfortable and beautiful home for them.

This was prompted by their sadness at losing their unborn child during pregnancy. They realized that the outdoors made them feel more peaceful and calm. One day, by chance, they stumbled upon an abandoned van and asked the owner to sell it to them. This gave them a reason and purpose again after the grief that had struck them. They named the van Florence, after the name they had planned for their first child.

Both of them became workers to complete their van. Scott became a carpenter, plumber, and electrical technician, while Ellie painted, decorated, and sewed the decorations. Their hard work paid off, and here are the renovations done by the Morgan family.

The photo above shows the initial appearance of the camping van they bought. The furniture looks old-fashioned and outdated. They tore everything apart, from the kitchen set to the van floor. Overhauling the entire van would indeed require more hard work.

But hard work paid off perfectly. The design of this van is very beautiful. From changing the type of wood to the unique and modern-looking furniture, the interior is comfortable for those inside.

The passenger seats in this van have been converted into seats that can be turned towards the back, so these seats can be used as a dining area.

As seen, this is the dining area setup in the van, complete with wooden benches. These benches are not just space fillers but also serve as storage, a place to rest your feet, and, of course, can be placed anywhere when needed.

Ellie's passion for cooking is not hindered in this van. The designed kitchen inside allows Ellie to cook when there is time in her van. When the vehicle is stopped, the driver's seat can be folded forward, allowing the folding table for the kitchen area to be lowered and used as a food preparation area.

In addition to the stove and oven, the kitchen is equipped with a kitchen sink. The mini sink basin can be covered with a wooden board when not needed. This mini sink, costing only £8 or approximately Rp 125,000, has a unique red and gold-colored faucet made by Scott himself, which looks very stylish inside the room. This sink is, of course, supplied through the water storage above the van.

The upper part of the van's interior is used as storage space. For example, above the kitchen area, the wooden toolboxes are used as storage for food and spices. There are also bookshelves for reading materials stored on the top side of the room.

On the other side, there is also storage for other supplies and herbs. The window on the top provides light entering the room. Herbs such as basil and rosemary not only serve as good cooking ingredients but also provide a pleasant aroma in the van. This makes the van feel like home.
