Special Workspace for Women! Its Unique Interior Design Provides Comfort and Boosts Productivity for Work!
The shared workspace dedicated to women is an exciting new addition in New York. Besides being exclusive to women, this building is a branch located in Soho. Previously, one had already been built in the Flatiron district. The place named The Wing offers both open and private workspaces tailored to various activities. Some of the spaces can even be used for talk shows or movie screenings. The space is designed to support the women's community movement, which already boasts nearly 600 groups in New York.
Chiara De Rege beautifully designed this space. The various decorations, color schemes, and furniture choices blend harmoniously and are appealing. She incorporated vintage and contemporary elements into her design. Due to its location in the loft, De Rege maximized the original appearance of the loft, such as windows, skylights, and high ceilings.
This workspace exposes various materials that are harmoniously crafted. From wooden floors, brick walls, to white-painted ceiling structures. Despite this, the characteristics of the materials remain distinctly visible. In the area designed like a living room, De Rege placed various chairs and sofas to create spacious seating in the middle of the room.
The interior of the entire space looks more like a lounge and also like a living room where people inside can engage and meet informally. Vintage-style lighting is combined with custom carpets and contemporary furniture.
This place is not just for working but also for gathering and is designed flexibly for those who need a place to change clothes for specific events or meetings. The bathrooms equipped with showers and dressing rooms can be comfortably used by visitors.
Here, they can meet new people from various professions. Thus, the women inside can connect and establish links that might be useful for their professions.
Apart from the spacious open workspace with various sofas, tables, and chairs for working, this place also provides two meeting rooms that can be rented. These meeting rooms are also attractively designed with wallpaper on all sides, simple furniture, and appropriate lighting.
The Wing itself complements the rooms needed by most women, such as a resting area for those who want to lie down in a quiet area. For women with children, a private room for breastfeeding is also provided. Eight telephone booths on the second floor are also used for those who want to make or receive important calls in a comfortable and quiet environment.
The café and bar provide breakfast, sandwiches, and coffee for visitors' needs. This café area can be used for discussions while enjoying a meal. The skylights and high ceilings create a bright and cool atmosphere in this café bar dining area. The space has a considerable capacity.
After passing through the bustling café area, the library within the workspace can be a comfortable place for working and reading. The books on the shelves are neatly arranged according to the colors of their covers. Not only long tables and wooden chairs, but comfortable sofas facing three directions are also available, saving space and providing privacy to each visitor.
The bathroom area in The Wing has a grid-like square design visible on its walls and black tile floors, making this room look elegant. The frosted glass door adds to its appeal.

Of course, to enter this area, visitors must pay or become members. Accessing the facilities inside depends on the upfront payment, so not everyone can access the entire space at The Wing. Besides Flatiron and Soho, The Wing will also be opened in DC and Brooklyn.
