Minimalist interior of a 33-square-meter apartment in Russia

A 33-square-meter residential apartment project located in Russia is the brainchild of KDVA Architects. In Russia, the fifth-floor building named "Khrushchevka" was demolished and replaced with a new building. But according to the architects, instead of building a new building, it is better to renovate the old one so that it becomes a cozy new formation.

By modifying the layout of this residential space, it creates a small space that is comfortable for sleeping, working, or relaxing. The wall between the kitchen and the living room is opened wide so that the room feels spacious. This residence consists of only a few spaces such as the entrance area, bathroom, kitchen with dining room, living room or family and also the bedroom.

In the entry area, there is a toilet area to put shoes and clothes. There is also a washing machine so that residents can wash their clothes quite freely. The washing machine is placed in the closet so that when not needed it can be stored and not seen by visiting guests. There is an area to hang jackets or outerwear used when going out.

Moving on to the next room, there is a bathroom complete with a sitting toilet and a bathtub. The sink with a minimal size also complements the bathroom. A very minimalist and clean look with a white color on the walls and ceramics, coupled with a fairly soft wood color as an accent in the room. Of course, this color is the same as the entire room in the residence.

A medium-sized kitchen area with storage shelves, an oven, and a refrigerator complete the space. The minimalist look appears in the overall color in the space. The dining table with dining chairs is simple so that it does not take up much space in the room. The chairs can also be put under the table.

The living room or lounge is decorated with an elongated sofa with a two-person cushion. There is also a work desk with a comfortable chair facing the window so that natural lighting is obtained when working or reading. The chairs for the dining table are also used as a guest table and lamp table in the sofa area..

Uniquely, the work table and dining table use a similar table so that if guests come and are invited to eat together, the table can be put together so that it fits many people. Furniture that is simple and also multifunctional of course.

Another interesting feature of this residence is the bedroom. The bedroom, which only consists of a bed, is integrated into the lounge. It looks unusual with a wooden frame that surrounds the room so that it becomes a separate area from other spaces. The divider between the bedroom and the lounge is a white curtain installed along the opening of the bedroom. The mattress can accommodate two people. A variety of storage is available behind the wooden frame.

This residence is also equipped with a glass balcony. The entrance to the balcony is in the living room right next to the work desk. The light that fills the balcony plus the outside view full of trees provides its own freshness to the residence.

The right choice of colors and materials in the interior of the room, giving the impression of a large space from the white color and calm with a combination of natural color materials such as a touch of wood on the floor and some furniture. The room also becomes wider with a wide opening between the kitchen and the living room, allowing it to become a gathering space for guests and family. Definitely very cozy and minimalist.
