This house, with a total area of 665 square meters, is the result of a design by TWS & Partners. Located in the northern part of Bandung city, it is still surrounded by green areas and old houses. Far from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bandung, this location is undoubtedly one of the suitable areas for family living.

The combination of white walls and wood elements provides a modern minimalist yet authentic touch. From the outside, this residence appears grand due to its relatively tall structure. The tall perimeter wall creates a sense of privacy, with only the vehicle parking area and the exterior visible from the outside. The unique design of the building's massing is intended to give it a distinct impression and image compared to the surrounding structures.

The house's structure consists of three masses combined into one, forming an H shape when viewed from above. The first mass is located on the ground floor with an elongated shape that serves as a connector between the other two masses. The two parallel but distinct masses provide a unique shape to the exterior of the building. This structure is also referred to as the 'Long House' due to its elongated and horizontal design.

This spacious property features a sizable open green area. Visitors entering this residence will be greeted by a lush front garden adorned with various ornamental and verdant plants. They will traverse a beautifully designed pathway with wooden floors and ceilings. The walls are also uniquely designed, with some being open and adorned with supporting columns, while others have rectangular patterns filled with dark brown wood in the empty spaces.

On the ground floor, there are various public spaces such as the living room, dining room, kitchen, as well as various service areas including the laundry room, toilet, wet kitchen, and a maid's bedroom. The entire space on the ground floor is designed with an open concept, utilizing thick glass walls as partitions. The use of these glass walls undoubtedly creates a sense of spaciousness in the interior of the house. Moreover, it allows an abundance of natural light and fresh air from the outside to penetrate and enhance the living space.

In addition to the wide openings, the building also features a water pool that serves as a natural cooling system. The abundance of openings not only provides scenic views for the homeowners but also allows the soothing sound of flowing water to create a sense of tranquility within the house.

Not only is there a relaxation and gathering area inside, but there is also a relaxation area on the open terrace at the rear of the residence. This area can also be used as an outdoor dining space, conveniently located right next to the living room. From this area, you can also see the staircase leading to the upper floors of the house, which is enclosed with glass.

The second floor is dedicated to the private areas of the residents, featuring the master bedroom, two children's bedrooms, and a study area. Each bedroom is equipped with an ensuite bathroom and a spacious walk-in closet. The master bedroom also includes a relaxation area and an ensuite bathroom with a comfortable bathtub for rejuvenation. All rooms on the second floor are complemented by terraces, ensuring natural light and air circulation flow into the rooms.

The combination of concrete and wood materials is indeed a common approach in design. However, in the 'Long House' design by TWS & Partners, they have executed it beautifully and uniquely. It's not just the building itself; even the surrounding land is utilized as an open garden, making the house feel more comfortable and refreshing.
