Located in Montreal, Canada, a house with a colorful design looks beautiful decorating each room in the house. The colors used are different in each room, as if giving their own statement.

The newly renovated house is owned by Sandra Smirle and Ken Dobell. They were assisted by architect Emilie Bedard and designer Maria Rosa Di Ioia of EM Architecture. The new design refers to the energetic character of the owners.

A warm atmosphere is immediately felt when looking at this living room. One wall is deliberately made the main focus of the space with a refreshing green color.

The wall is made with a classic look using profiles, while the other walls are left plain. This room also looks bright with natural lighting from large windows. Filled with a sofa and several chairs with different color choices, it creates a unique impression.

Two chairs with a table in the middle are placed right in front of the window. The two egg yolk-colored chairs look contrasting in the room. The homeowner, Sandra, took the initiative to put fresh green plants in this area. A plant made of cedar, eucalyptus and olive branches, made into a round shape and hung on the window.

Moving on to the dining room. This space is parallel to the living room and is not limited by any partition, making this space feel more spacious. A dining table was chosen with a capacity of 6 people with blue chairs and a futuristic shape.

This dining table area is the main focus, for that part of the wall is left plain white color by highlighting the brick material.

Unlike the living room and dining room which use contrasting colors. A unique thing is seen in the kitchen area. Sandra and Ken have the same hobby, which is cooking. For this reason, this space is attractively designed by using the dominant color black. An unusual color for a kitchen space, but worth a try!

The black color is applied to the kitchen cabinet, island table, and even the chandelier. Combine the black color with wood material as a balance. The kitchen space is designed with many drawers as storage for various equipment to make the kitchen look neat.

Sandra and Ken's bedroom is located on the second floor. Not using many colors, the bedroom looks minimalist. The bedroom as a place to rest makes architects and designers choose neutral colors. For this reason, they chose to experiment using wood material to make the bedroom feel warmer.

Uniquely, this wooden bed is made to blend with the backdrop and side table that is made to hang. A practical and functional concept! Two bed lamps are placed on the wall with an artistic display in the center.

Meanwhile, the master bathroom combines patterns and materials. The wall is deliberately exposed brick to make it look more natural. The floor uses black ceramic tiles. The same color is applied to the door and clawfoot-shaped bathtub. Not to forget, Sandra put back fresh plants in the bathroom area.

Ken often works at home. Ken's office space design is made as comfortable as possible according to his needs. Wood material is applied to all furniture, from the work desk to the wooden wall shelf.

Ken's masculine side is also presented through the application of iron material applied to the legs of his work desk. In addition, the minimalist side is also presented through the lack of decorations. There is only a collection of books stored on an open hanging shelf, as well as an accent to the room. Not to forget the addition of some fresh plants.
