The Exotic Interior of the "Skylodge," the Tallest Hanging Lodge in the World Located in Purwakarta, West Java.
What is Skylodge?
Have you ever heard of a type of hotel or accommodation called Skylodge? If you haven't, that's understandable because Skylodge is relatively new in the world of hospitality. It consists of two words from English: "Sky," meaning the sky, and "lodge," which is a small cabin or house. In short, Skylodge can be interpreted as a cabin or accommodation resembling a capsule where visitors "seemingly" stay in the sky.

Skylodge is constructed with a framework of trapezoidal or spherical iron or steel covered with transparent glass, allowing visitors to enjoy the surrounding views, including the sky, directly. It's no wonder that visitors stay in sleeping capsules with a roof that lets them gaze at the starry sky. How beautiful!

Skylodge in Peru
Skylodges are typically built on land. However, The Skylodge Adventure Suites in Cuzco, Peru, is a different story. This accommodation is suspended at the top of a mountain in the Sacred Valley of Peru. Perched at an altitude of 400 feet, equivalent to 122 meters, The Skylodge Adventure Suites became the world's first hanging lodge.

The Highest Skylodge in the World is in Indonesia
Surprisingly, Indonesia also has Skylodges, similar to those in Peru! The first Skylodge in Indonesia is located in Purwakarta, West Java. Named Pajajaran Anyar, this hanging lodge is situated on the cliffs of Parang, Cisaga Village, Sukamulya District, Tegalwaru, Purwakarta, West Java.
Pajajaran Anyar Skylodge is a collaboration between rock climbing enthusiasts from Badega Gunung Parang and a professional architect team called ARCTech. They adapted the Skylodge concept from Peru and calculated the complex aspects of design, weight, and structural strength. Their collaboration resulted in Skylodges ranging from 400 to 900 meters in height, far exceeding the Skylodges in Peru. Therefore, it's no wonder that Pajajaran Anyar is considered the world's highest Skylodge. Remarkable!

Each room in the lodge can ideally accommodate four people, allowing you to choose whether to sleep alone or with others. There are four single beds and a king-size bed, complete with pillows and blankets. Electrical and water facilities are readily available within the room.
The walls and floors of the rooms are made of transparent polycarbonate material. There are no carpets or colorful fabrics covering the room's floor, but there are thick curtains serving as drapes to enclose the space. These curtains can be opened or closed according to your preference. The choice of curtain and bedspread colors is light brown, matching the color of the pillowcases and bed covers, which are white.
The furnishings inside the room are minimal, including lamps, a television, an electric water heater, tableware, a microwave, and a polycarbonate table. There are also small aluminum pots containing short plants for added charm in the room.

Inside the lodge, there is a separate toilet and sink area from the bedroom. The space isn't overly large but can be used for both major and minor personal needs. The sink is made of aluminum, and the toilet is portable, using a dry ecological toilet method. The waste from the portable toilet is collected, frozen, and disposed of by staff when guests check out.
However, it seems that you cannot shower in the Pajajaran Anyar Skylodge. There isn't enough water provided for bathing, and there is no specific shower area. For all water-related activities, you can use the available gallon mineral water, whether for drinking or other purposes.
