Treehotel, one of the hotels with a treehouse theme, is located in Sweden. This hotel provides a stay experience that is presented close to nature. In this place visitors can also relieve fatigue from everyday life and enjoy the natural atmosphere.

The location of this hotel is right in Harads, near the Lule river and 100 kilometers from Lulea airport. The area, which has 600 inhabitants, also has other facilities such as restaurants, shops and guest houses.

It all started with two people who lived together, Kent and Britta, who built a workplace, a metropolis and other facilities in their home. These creative minds took the idea to the next level by creating a tree hotel with various themes. Inspired by the movie "The Tree Lover", they started working on a hotel that provides high-class accommodation that is harmonious with its environment and can relieve the stress of visitors. Here are the 7 hotel room buildings presented by Treehotel.

1. The Cabin

This room is located in a mountainous hillside area with views of the Lule river valley. Entry to the room is via a horizontal bridge between the trees. Of course, the long bridge is uniquely installed.

The Cabin itself is shaped like a capsule room. With an area of 24 square meters, this room only accommodates two people in it. Facilities include a double bed, a toilet, a lounge area by the window, and a roof terrace. The room was constructed in 2010 and handled by Cyrén & Cyrén Mårten Cyrén & Gustav Cyrén as the architects.

2. The Mirrorcube

This room can camouflage itself among the trees. This is because its outer facade is made of mirrored walls and reflects the surroundings. The size of this room is 4x4x4 meters. With an aluminum frame as the structure between the tree trunks and the reflective glass wall.

The interior of this room is made of plywood. There are 6 windows in this building with beautiful panoramic views. To enter this room, visitors must go through a 12-meter long bridge. The facilities presented for this room are double bed, toilet, lounge and roof terrace. The shower and sauna area is located in another building around the room. This room was also constructed in 2010 with Tham & Videgård Bolle Tham & Martin Videgård as the architect.

3. The Dragonfly

This 52 square meter building has a variety of unusual spaces inside. One of them is a meeting room but can also be used as a private place to stay. Connected by a 15-meter-long ramp, the room offers a beautiful view of the mountains.

This wooden building is designed with metal sheets on the exterior. Its brownish color seems to blend in with the pine trees in its surroundings. The 4-person room is equipped with two rooms, a 10-seater meeting table, toilets, showers, and air conditioning. This spectacular building design is the work of Sami Rintala, Rintala Eggertsson Architects.

4. The UFO

Of course, this hotel room will give you a very different experience. For those of you who are obsessed with extraterrestrials, the design of this UFO room will amaze you. The building is designed with durable composite materials. This is done to make the building lighter but still strong and sustainable.

The interior is modern and cozy. With a capacity for 5 people, the building has an area of 30 square meters with facilities for one double bed, three smaller single beds, a toilet, and a living room. The shower and sauna are located in another building around the hotel. The UFO was designed by Bertil Harström's Inredningsgruppen.

5. The Blue Cone

The building is simple and accessible. A traditional wooden structure with three foundations was given to the building to make the building stable and lighter. The building is lower than the other rooms and can be accessed via a ramp-shaped bridge.

On the striking exterior, laminated birch wood in a vibrant red color was used. On the interior, timber is used in a soothing plain color. The 22-square-meter building has 4 beds with one double bed in the attic and 2 single beds on the ground floor, a toilet, and also a living room with a separate shower and sauna area from the building. The designer of this building is SandellSandberg.

6. The Bird's Nest

As the name suggests, this sixth room has a stunning exterior that looks like a bird's nest. Of course, it can camouflage with the surroundings because the color and shape seem to become one with the surrounding environment.

This 17-square-meter building has an exclusive interior that contrasts with its exterior, which is very crowded with tree branches. The interior walls are decorated with wood paneling and windows that are barely visible from the outside. With a capacity for 4 people, the building was designed by Inredningsgruppen Bertil Harström. Unique and very unusual for a building like this.

7. The 7th Room

Well for this last room building is the largest hotel room among other buildings. Built in 2016 and designed by Snøhetta, The 7th Room has an area of 100 square meters. The building with a height of 10 meters from the ground has a unique and beautiful design. Of course, the seventh room provides a view that is no less beautiful than the other rooms.

The large panoramic glass window is designed to face north along with the skylight design in the sleeping area that offers visitors the beauty of the northern sky. The 7th room can accommodate 5 people inside with two double beds, a sofa bed, lounge, toilet, and even a bathroom with shower. The interior is furnished with Scandinavian wood and organic fabrics while the exterior façade is designed in black with a charred-looking wooden surface.

The terrace in the center of the building is designed with a flexible net to bring visitors closer to nature. The design of this seventh room is certainly very different from the other rooms in the Treehotel series of rooms.
