Having a laundry room in your home is everyone's dream. However, it is sometimes challenging to realize due to limited space or available areas within and around your home for a laundry area. You don't need to worry; you can take inspiration from the room ideas below, along with integrated storage tips, to maximize the limited space you have.

Crisp Whites

White is the most neutral color to use in room design as it can easily be combined with any color and pattern. Designer Dina Bandman incorporated dominant white tones in the furniture and patterns made from white to gray-tinted tile fragments arranged on the walls. To save space, Dina Bandman designed wooden clothes hangers between the hanging cabinets as a place for wet, squeezed clothes.

Soft Green

This laundry room was designed by the Urban Grace Interiors team, with a dominant soft greenish-gray color on the cabinets. It's complemented by brass-colored lights and woven baskets. The room is also equipped with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a sink for rinsing clothes between the two machines. This design can inspire you to make the most of limited space by arranging various pieces of furniture in the area.

Sky Blue

Designer Julia Buckingham created an oasis-like touch with a sky blue color and used swallow-themed wallpaper to reduce the impression of a small and rigid space. She completed it with white cabinets placed near the laundry machine to make the room look more spacious and bright.

Laundry Space in a Small Apartment

Designer David Kaihoi cleverly designed a laundry and storage space in his apartment. This New York-based designer used a very limited area to place a washing machine and shiny red storage drawers. He also maximized any available small spaces to create shelves or hanging spots for washed clothes. Additionally, adding sliding doors to cover the area made his apartment neat and well-organized, making it a comfortable space to live in.

Integrated with Other Rooms

Don't have a separate room to use as a laundry space? Perhaps you can adopt the following idea. By utilizing empty space located in one corner of the garage, you can turn it into a dedicated laundry area by placing the washing machine in that corner and adding cabinets and overhead racks above the washing machine. You can also add sliding curtains to cover the laundry area, making the house look cleaner.
