65 m2 Apartment Interior Design in Brazil with Scandinavia

The apartment located in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was designed by Casa100 Arquitetura. As a studio apartment, this residence is designed with an open concept, with a few partitions to separate its spaces. The studio apartment has an area of approximately 65 square meters. With this size, the architect successfully designed a comfortable living space with various wooden elements.

At the owner's request, the apartment needed to be designed with a minimalist look inspired by Scandinavian design. The interior of this residence features a minimal color palette as per the owner's preference. White walls, exposed ceilings, and wooden partition decorations can be found in various corners of the apartment.

The apartment originally had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but it was transformed into one large bedroom. The other bedroom was turned into a spacious closet area and an entrance to the main bedroom. The two bathrooms were combined into one large master bathroom with a spacious shower area. The bathroom outside the main bedroom was designed as a toilet for guests visiting the apartment.

Upon entering the apartment, visitors are immediately greeted by a long, calming gray-toned kitchen area. It is equipped with appliances such as a refrigerator, oven, and stove. Utensils and cookware are neatly stored in cabinets and open shelves. The spotlight fixtures serving as ceiling lights add a unique and beautiful touch.

Besides serving as a kitchen area, the table that acts as a divider between the kitchen and the central living space also functions as a dining table for two. This dining area is complemented by beautiful pendant lights and minimalist-designed chairs. Meanwhile, the other part of the table is used as a television mount in the central living area

The central living area feels spacious and comfortable with a two-seater sofa, a patterned rug that fits the space, and not just a TV but also wall-mounted reading lights for cozy relaxation on the sofa. Eye-catching wooden open shelves add to the room's aesthetics. On these shelves, residents can display various ornaments and decorations, such as potted plants.

From the central living area, there's a connection to a cozy balcony for relaxation. Sliding glass windows serve as a partition between the central space and the balcony. Beanbag cushions are a perfect choice for unwinding while enjoying the fresh air outside the apartment. The oak wood flooring provides a contrasting element between the indoor and balcony spaces, clearly defining the distinction even when the windows are fully open.

The bedroom is beautifully designed with a queen-sized bed adorned in shades of gray for the sheets, blankets, and pillows. The white walls adorned with a wooden headboard and open wooden shelves, matching the decorative shelves in the central living area, serve as a consistent theme throughout the apartment. The bathroom door blending in with the wall color is a unique and clever idea.

The bathroom area is designed predominantly in white with some black and wood brown accents in its furniture. The white walls with a brick-like pattern provide texture to the space. The elongated bathroom feels more spacious and bright due to the dominant use of white.

The interior of this apartment exudes a neutral and airy ambiance, making the living space feel spacious and refreshing. Shades of gray and white dominate the interior. The minimalistic approach in terms of furniture provides ample room for residents to move freely and defines various spaces within the apartment. One unique aspect of the apartment is the lighting that emanates from pipes running throughout the space. LED lights are embedded in the pipes suspended from the ceiling.
