For moms-to-be, prepare these things before decorating the baby's room
Are you expecting your baby? Don't forget to prepare everything for your little one's needs, including the nursery. Apart from buying clothes, decorating the baby's room is a fun activity for moms-to-be like you. If you are still struggling with how to create a cozy and safe nursery, you can follow these steps.
Paint
Decide on the wall paint color for your little one's room. Usually, a baby girl's room is identical to pink or yellow, while a baby boy uses blue or gray. However, if you want to choose a more neutral color, you can use white or gray. This neutral color can give the baby a comfortable impression when resting.
Furniture
After the paint color business is done, now you have to prepare the furniture in the baby's room. Just like arranging an adult room, some furniture that should be in the baby's room is a bed or baby box, wardrobe, table for changing diapers, mosquito net, and chair or sofa. Try to choose furniture that suits the needs of you and your little one.
Carpet
It's a good idea to provide carpets or rugs made of soft fur. Indirectly, giving a carpet can provide a sense of comfort and warmth for you and your baby. To beautify the room decoration, you can choose a carpet with cartoon illustrations or choose bright colors.
Decorate the wall
Make the nursery more decorative with some simple wall hangings. You can put up some cartoon pictures and quotes, or other decorations that you can easily find in baby stores and online shops. Make your little one feel comfortable in their room.
Mosquito Net
It sounds trivial, but a mosquito net is quite important for a baby's room. Mosquito nets serve to protect your little one from naughty mosquitoes, considering that baby's skin is quite sensitive from mosquito bites. You don't want your baby's sleep quality to be disrupted by mosquitoes, do you? Install a mosquito net on the baby box, or you can use a serving hood-shaped mosquito net that is easy to use.
Storage place
Provide a wardrobe to store your baby's many clothes. Also, think about additional storage for diapers and other supplies. Place them in one area for easy retrieval. You can divide some supplies by putting them in different boxes or baskets.
Create warmth
It is important that you make your baby feel warm in their own room. You can do this by preparing blankets, and lining the baby's bed with an extra layer. Install a sheet when the baby is sleeping to prevent the baby's poop or feces from seeping into the mattress.
Extra light
Just like adults, the quality of your little one's sleep at night will be more comfortable with an extra light. The main light in your child's room should be turned off when he or she sleeps at night. Instead, you can put a nightlight on the table or wall. Choose a dimly lit lamp to provide a sense of warmth when he sleeps.
Keep it clean
After all the needs of your little one's room are met, your work is not done yet. Make sure you always keep the room clean because babies are very sensitive in every way. Avoid placing items that can harm the baby and always routinely remove accumulated garbage, and replace the trash plastic with a new one.
