Workspace Design with Attractive Colors that Make You More Productive

Colombo and Serboli Architecture, commonly known as CaSa, is one of the architectural studios in Barcelona. Founded by the two Italian architects, Matteo Colombo and Andrea Serboli, they have showcased their creativity through workspace designs. Named the "Sinergics" project, CaSa successfully transformed five abandoned commercial properties in Baro? de Viver into comfortable workspaces for local entrepreneurs.

Of course, this was not without budget constraints, so the architects had to find ways to renovate the space without exceeding the estimated costs. One of CaSa's strategies was to design furniture that could be used for various activities.

The five retail blocks were in a state of disrepair, with their striking exposed brick exterior on the ground floor of social housing. Making the place attractive and adaptable to its surroundings was a challenge for the architects. Another consideration was to create a comfortable workspace where small businesses could occupy the offices.

The design of this area required open space, providing a wide field of view for workers from inside the office to the surrounding environment, easy communication among coworkers, and, of course, safety from unwanted incidents.

Two out of the five rooms in the building were combined to create a larger workspace. This allowed for more space for a kitchen area, although the lounge area remained separate. CaSa designed a lounge area on the upper part of the room.

By using a simple steel frame and netting above it, they created a hammock at the top of the room. Access to the hammock is provided through a simple metal staircase. Just below the hammock, there is a brightly colored yellow kitchen area, creating a cheerful and bright atmosphere.

The rigid basic shape of the room's floor required the furniture to be adaptable and configured to fit properly. Room accessories, such as metal boxes used for hanging papers and other items, were designed not to obstruct the view due to their grid metal framework.

Other unique features can also be seen in this office building, such as the different wall colors in each room. The combination of vibrant colors with white is harmonious and not excessive, making it attractive. The furniture colors are also coordinated to avoid clashes in the room. Additionally, round acoustic panels installed on the ceiling match the color scheme of each room. These colored panel accessories provide identity to each room and create continuity among the parallel office spaces.

The office building, named Sinergics, is now used for various workspaces, from bike repairs to textile design. The attractively designed spaces by CaSA truly help boost creativity with their use of color schemes and the open workspace environment with a view to the outside, creating a sense of openness.
