A Modern Home in the Heart of Rural Vietnam That's Truly Amazing!

featured-image

Urbanization is rapidly spreading from cities to rural areas in Vietnam. Tube-shaped city houses are beginning to appear more densely in rural areas, disrupting the peaceful and poetic image of the countryside. The Dien Khanh House tries to preserve the traditional intimacy that is gradually fading from rural homes, to create a living environment that is fresh, close to nature and the surroundings, while also satisfying modern life and contemporary social development.

The setback is significant for the front yard, with rows of familiar betel nut trees planted on both sides of the fence, combined with green trees. The yard is lined with Chinese bricks, creating a connection with the roof and reminiscent of the image of traditional Vietnamese houses. The design is very neat, isn't it? It's a type of house that is elongated and prioritizes comfort.

Next to the house, there is a small garden and a footpath for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the morning air or admire the flowers and water them. The windows are large and filled with glass, with black touches on the edges.

The living room and lounge are separated by an atrium and skylight between the houses. Through these spaces, natural light and air are naturally introduced into the building, creating light, ventilation, and coolness for the building. The parents' bedroom is separated from the living room and kitchen by an atrium with a small garden in the middle of the house. The bedrooms for two adults, rarely used, are arranged on the first floor and are also connected to each other through this atrium. The bedrooms are arranged separately but still integrated and connected to nature.

The concept of the living room is designed to be spacious and open without partitions. There are only wooden chairs with backrests and several cushions for added comfort, as well as two sofa chairs, which, of course, have a design close to wooden chairs. The carpet is also given a color that matches the other furniture, which is a wooden cream color. Green decorations in the form of plants are placed in the corner of the room to enhance the beauty of the room, equipped with a fairly large television. This home is very suitable for the Vietnamese people in the countryside because you can enjoy the still pristine rural scenery.

Next, for the front part of this Vietnamese house located in the middle of the countryside, an open gate is used to reveal the building inside. Isn't this concept of an Open House beautiful? This concept also looks beautiful at night because the residents have added beautiful lighting accents around the garden.

The stairs are the highlight of the house. Curved stairs combined with an atrium at the corner of the terrain break the building's disorderly angles and create a sense of neatness. The finishing materials for the stairs and the building are also carefully considered. Terrazzo is used as a familiar material used by our ancestors in the past and also limits land shortages while creating familiarity and closeness. The interior design aims for simplicity and modern comfort in contemporary life. The use of white paint and light wood creates a spacious and bright interior space. Traditional elements are cleverly incorporated into the interior space, such as wooden sofas in the living room and terrace chairs commonly found in traditional Vietnamese housing.
