This house, designed in a brutalist style by the architecture studio Patisandhika and designer Dan Mitchell, is described as a 'blank canvas,' with the concept of blending the boundaries between outdoor and indoor spaces. Some plants inside the house, intended to 'soften' the strong elements of concrete, are expected to 'dominate' the house. This vibrant house harmonizes with its natural and serene surroundings, as it's built in the midst of rice fields on the southern side of Bali.

The neutral colors produced by concrete and wood serve as a backdrop for colorful furniture and decorations. With a combination of high ceiling roofs in the living room and open-plan kitchen or dining areas, this house follows an open-plan concept, maximizing passive and natural ventilation techniques, eliminating the need for air conditioning to cool the space.
